Great Britain just announced their Senior Men's Team...
There still will be cuts to get the team to 12 players but one of those named is CHRIS CAIRD - forward from Drake!

Great Britain loses 69-53 and is out of the Championship bracket...
but they will play on in the consolation bracket - and begin play for 5th thru 8th place vs. Poland at 10:45am tomorrow

the best player in this game was Dominik Olejniczak....
I am sure this name will sound familiar to many- he's the Drake kid who just left after his freshman year to transfer to Ole Miss

Olejniczak went 8-12 and had 17 pts & 6 rebs. But he hasn't been dominating anyone else - and was just coming off a 1-6, 2 pt, 4 reb game vs. Montenegro, and had been averaging 8 ppg, 3.6 rpg before this game.
But here's one telling stat that is certainly gonna make Olejniczak one of his coach's & teammates' least favorite players - in six games thus far he has ZERO assists. (This past season at Drake, he played almost 500 minutes and had 10 assists...)

The Brits seem to have only 2 or 3 guys who can create and make shots...they could use one more skilled player

the British squad did ok - they finished 7th out of 21 teams....and were 5-3
but when the Euro Championships handed out their 1st Team, 2nd Team, 3rd Team, and Hon. Mention awards...
only one British player even got mentioned and received only HM
