  • Inaugural Hilltop Hoopin' event Monday, July 11

Bradley basketball will host the Hilltop Hoopin??™ Summer Slam alumni game, featuring The Basketball Tournament bound Always A Brave squad, on Monday, July 11, starting at 4:00 PM. The events will start with a barbecue and multiple family activities on the quad. Then at 7:00 PM there will be an alumni game in the Renaissance Coliseum featuring the former Bradley stars who will hope to be participating in The Basketball Tournament.

Ticket information has not been determined yet. Sounds like fun!
I hope they hand out flyers to any students and fans to encourage them to register and vote for the Always a Brave team.

a new release from Bradley - mostly what we knew...

"Tickets for the Bradley men's basketball program's July 11 alumni game go on sale Monday at the Bradley Athletics Ticket Office inside Renaissance Coliseum."

Page Not Found (404): It looks like you're lost... The page you are looking for no longer exists.

Hilltop Hoopin' Summer Slam is located on the Alumni Quad area west of Bradley Hall (not on the old Bradley Quad).

Hilltop Hoopin' Summer Slam is underway. Games, food, music, sun and interaction with the @BradleyBraves.

The scrimmage is about to start and there are around 500 people in the stands and more still out on the Quad. Nice to see a lot of the former BU players again.

The start has been a bit delayed by remarks from Coach Wardle, current Bradley player introductions, and the alumni player and coach introductions, and a prolonged warm-up time for the players. The scrimmage is tipping off right now at 7:41 PM.

Red team: JJ Tauai, David Collins, Will Franklin, Tony Bennett, and Matt Sally. Sally is panting after the first minute.

White team: Daniel Ruffin, Cellus Sommerville, Jeremy Crouch, Patrick O'Bryant, and Michael Stewart.

The red team has made several long shots and jumps out to a 13-2 lead.

White subs were Sam M. and Kevin Jones. Sam is in quickly for Stewart who also appears out of shape.

Brian Lavin, Phil Gilbert, and Theron Wilson in for the Red.

Not much defense. Score now 24-13, with Brian Levin looking good.

After 1st half (two 10 minute halves with running clock), score is Red 34 White 13. The play slowed down a lot the last couple minutes with everyone looking tired.

Red team (Franklin, Bennett, Lavin) hitting a lot of perimeter jumpers, and white team with cold shooting.
