Hi,

This is Chris Kwiecinski, the Sports Editor for The Bradley Scout.

The article in question was a track article that contained fabricated quotes from an athlete and pretty porous reporting.

Since finding this about the quote fabrication, the writer in question will not be writing for The Scout anymore and the article was removed from The Scout's website.

they made the right move in admitting the mistake and then apologizing instead of the Dan Rather approach of dishonesty...
I think the Scout has done a pretty good job covering a lot of different topics & sports

I agree. It is vastly improved over just a few years ago. They actually cover sports and events now like a real newspaper, and do more in-depth features.
