Bradley receives signed Letters of Intent from Darrell Brown, Jr. and Jayden Hodgson
Jayden, we are excited to see you playing b-ball for BU as well! Same for Darrell.
It's a pretty simple relationship...
If you:
1. Complete your classes and remain eligible
2. Practice and play at max effort and unselfishly
3. Stay away from anything/anyone illegal, whether you personally agree or not with existing rules/laws
4. Be honest and treat everyone with respect
In exchange,
BU students, BU MBB fans here in Central Illinois/around the globe, and, local sports media will unilaterally:
Root for you and the Braves like crazy
Support you forever, athletically, academically and socially
Treat you honestly and with respect
Help you in your future career, if they can, whatever it may be
PEORIA, IL - Bradley Basketball doubled its 2016 recruiting class on the first day of the spring signing period Wednesday with the addition of point guards Darrell Brown, Jr. and Jayden Hodgson.
I do not believe the coaches felt they had anyone else "locked up". They are still working on adding 1 or 2 more recruits.
If they are players that can help next year, I would prefer two more recruits. Really would like to add a big man but they are as scarce as hen's teeth this time of the year.
Hodgson- 15.1 ppg, 6 assists per game
D Brown, Jr.- 22.6 ppg, 6.1 assists, 3.0 rpg, 2.8 steals - career scoring 2,678 pts
One reason given by Darrell Brown, Jr. for selecting Bradley... "I liked the way the coaches welcomed me (on my visit to Bradley)..
...I liked the way the team played (he was at the Indiana State game) ... It got very loud and the fans supported them the whole game."
...so the fans helped land Darrell!
In case anyone hasn't seen this.....here's Coach Wardle addressing the fans/students
