Just since yesterday morning, the "Always a Brave" team has added about 30 more votes to increase their vote total to 288 votes. They have zoomed into 7th place in the Midwest Region-

Voting can continue for another couple months, so spread the word, since the Bradley guys could use more votes!
Follow the instructions 2 posts above this one.

I think I found one reason for the sudden surge in votes-
One of the team members Patrick O'Bryant, tweeted early today in Taiwanese Mandarin language (he plays professionally in Taiwan)-

So we are now seeing a lot of Taiwanese fans of POB registering and voting. Great idea!.
Here are the latest signups, and they appear to be mostly Taiwanese and O'Bryant fans-

As Bobby mentioned, each player must go through several steps to be officially accepted and added to the roster. As of now, only Marcellus Sommerville and Patrick O'Bryant are officially on the roster-

A team must have at least 7 players on the roster (and no more than 11) and accumulate at least 200 authenticated votes from fans to become officially eligible. Always a Brave now has almost 300 votes, so the only thing keeping them from being designated as eligible is getting a few more players on the roster. The players have to complete a lengthy application form and be accepted. But the Tournament producer also reserves the right to exclude any team they feel is not appropriate (such as a team filled with players who have had little or no experience or appear to be entering as a joke), or they can invalidate any fan votes they believe are duplicates or phony.
The rules page is quite length-

The "Always a Brave" team officially added Chuck Buescher as a coach-

Their vote total continues to climb- now at 304-

Bobby- if you are reading this...
maybe hand out a small flyer to every kid who comes to any of the Bradley basketball camps this summer...
that would be several hundred kids - and if even one in 10 read the flyer and voted, it could add several dozen additional votes..
..also - any way to hang up some flyers around campus for the general student population to help out - or get the BU Scout to write a column?

The Always a Brave team remains in 8th place with a vote total now of 329-

But note that there are a couple teams gaining fast on them (Indiana Heavy and Canton Bulldogs). So the Braves need more votes to secure a place in the tournament. Please continue to spread the word and encourage anyone who hasn't voted to help out. Forward this link to anyone who you know and ask them to follow the steps and vote for Always a Brave-

Always a Brave's vote total has risen to 346. But the bad news is that another team, Indiana Heavy, has moved ahead of them and pushed the former Braves down a spot to 9th place in the Midwest-

Now the Golden Eagle Alumni (Marquette alumni) are gaining on Always a Brave, too. The will need more votes to stay in the Top 12 in the Midwest Region. So please continue to spread the word and encourage anyone who hasn't voted to help out.

Anyone know what the orange "ineligible" dot means next to the Always a Brave team? Tere are yellow "eligible" dots and orange "ineligible". Just curious. Thanks!

                    Da Coach explained it here

it generally means all of our players have not yet completely finished all their paperwork and waivers (legal stuff)

Voting ends June 1 - and the Bradley team has now slipped to 10th place in vote totals in the Midwest.

If the top 16 teams from each region (64 teams) get in..then I think our guys will still qualify as the #16 team is more than 100 votes behind..

but it would be nice if we could get a lot more votes from our fans...so please, if you have not signed up - it only takes about 2 minutes and vote for "Always a Brave"

Just so I am clear, we can only vote once correct?

It has been a slow voting week and the team needs some help to climb back up the standings. To answer a couple of questions:

                              1) Yes, you can only vote once, but you can gain points by getting others to vote. It's a bit of a pyramid scheme, but one that does not cost anyone any money. We simply need everyone to share the word and encourage their friends to vote. Here's the direct link to the team page, which includes a big button that will take you to the fan registration page: https://www.thetournament.com/teams/...bradley-alumni

                              2) Regarding ineligibility - The team will not transition to the "eligible" status until seven players are registered. Will Franklin was added this morning! I have more than seven who have agreed to play, but still working through their registration materials.

                                thanks...
there are some conceivable ways a single person can vote multiple times, and I suspect some teams that have in the thousands of votes have already figured that out...
