Interesting that despite the in-depth coverage of the Indiana recruits, and the report that Indiana Coach Tom Crean offered him a scholarship, the reporter does not even mention that they do not have any open scholarships to give. It would be nice to hear where the scholarship will come from.

Most fully believe that Troy Williams will go pro either NBA or over seas. He is scheduled to graduate this this summer. IF Williams comes back there is a talk that a rarely used non d1 caliber player and fan favorite named Tim Priller will be looking for another team.
but numerous sites also show that in addition to Freddie, Indiana has offered that same one NON-existent spot to numerous other kids as well..
I have the same "love" for 'iu" as most of you have for "u of i" no doubt. I hope that Crean gets another 10 yr gig down there based on this last season so those bandwagon fans in Bloomington can fully suffer the "SIU Lowery effect" for most of those years. He can recruit & if he gets enough talent to play together and override his poor coaching ability & by spending enough money to keep bringing in former head coaches at big $$$ salaries and let them actually coach a part of the team, i.e. defense coach, big man coach, offense coach & whatever else I fail to mention he may someday get them into an Elite 8 but I would not bet the farm on it. After all this is the same guy that had a good team for a couple of years at Marquette with Dwayne Wade & also lost after a game or two in the NCAA with TWO FIRST ROUND (TOP 10) PLAYERS IN HIS LINEUP....Zeller & the guy whose name starts with an "A". It is a travesty that he has been able to convince his big man (boy) to come back and play for Daddy this next season. If the kid were to suffer a serious injury playing college ball the whispers of being a lottery pick will be long gone. Maybe Crean has setup a lifetime annuity for him or something?
You mean Victor Oladipo? Yes he had a loaded roster in 2012 & 2013 and perhaps should have gone farther. I think he is a good coach, just not a great coach and not going to outcoach the great coaches. But Illinois fans would be happy with Sweet 16s instead of turning down NIT bids.
I have heard from sources that our staff has been tireless and non-stop in their recruiting efforts...
I don' think we're gonna get shut out like we did last spring before the changeover, or the year before when we had to gamble on guys who weren't even eligible
This would free up a scholarship if he does stay in the draft, but most experts do not see him a a very high pick. He is undersized for an NBA forward (6'7"), and most mock drafts that have him listed show him in the mid to late 2nd round.
NBADraft.net does not even have him getting drafted in the 1st or 2nd round-
Specializing in drafts with top players on the NBA horizon, player profiles, scouting reports, rankings and prospective international recruits.
More likely, one of IU Coach Crean's rarely used bench players will be persuaded to leave or give up their scholarship (most likely sophomore Tim Priller).

It would be nice to get somebody we really want, and not somebody we get because they're a leftover. Time will tell, but I am hopeful.
Vent, it does seem like Bradley has not been able to get primary spring targets. Without some immediate impact players we have to depend on improvement of the current players before next year. Another season, such as we just completed, next year could be hard on ticket sales for the following year.
I know a good point guard could have a big impact but Brown will be just a freshman next year.
Mcswain retweeted a reporter on Twitter who says they confirmed his final 2 are IU and KSU. Unfortunately we missed out on a guy who could have been a difference maker. I hope he goes to KSU for his sake because he likely won't play much at IU.
McSwain had previously said he would visit ISU right after Indiana then make his decision at the end of the month..
it was just less than 24 hours earlier that Freddie had tweeted himself that he wouldn't decide 'til late April...
...so now if this story from the IU reporter is accurate, then he has already ruled out ISU and places K-State & IU as his top two. - Hard to know what is true and what is not - or is he changing his mind that often..
There have certainly been times previously when these team reporters get things all wrong (it happened with Matt Roth & Jordan Prosser) but indeed it does look like we're losing ground to the big boys who have more $$ to throw around.
But I am not sure Kansas State has an open scholarship but they can always find a way.
K-State has 9 players returning plus four commits for this fall (Patrick, Diarra, Love, & Sneed - the top rated of whom - Xavier Sneed - is a talented SF who would battle Freddie for playing time)
BTW - someone needs to complain to the NCAA - there are lots of Indiana fans tweeting direct to Freddie and doing exactly what NCAA describes as a contact violation...
NCAA needs to grow some ***** and penalize these guys

And yes, there are innumerable examples of fans and followers of schools not only tweeting directly to Freddie, but even admitting they have spoken directly with him (see the ISU guy's tweet and the Indiana guy's tweet above). So for those who get hysterical when a Bradley fan simply says hello to a potential recruit's family while sitting near them at a game, please chill out.
