Would love to have Freddie commit to BU! He could be a major piece in getting us back to the top of the Missouri Valley.
If you cant go to school go to STATE!!

In the last few days, Freddie has landed several more offers, including Illinois State, Miami (Ohio), Tennessee-Martin, and he now has about 20 offers.

If he has 20 offers, it will probably be hard for Bradley to get a verbal commitment on this visit.

Maybe, but I think there is a chance...

Btw, nice reporting. It was posted here hours before anywhere else.

Freddie is a freak...like I have said - many of his juco games were available on streaming and anyone who watched would have been impressed...and he's still getting better...

he's a mix of Chris Roberts' athleticism and dunking ability plus Theron Wilson's nose for the ball and scoring ability, but he's built like Marcus Pollard and could play center if necessary.
Freddie knows a lot about some of the teams he has been recruited by and he's even tweeted about things he has read on their sites...so I know he sees that the BU fans love their team.
Most of his offers are very low mid-majors and I would be surprised if he takes visits to many of those...
The fact that he is coming to BU first says just maybe it's all he will need to make a commitment - hope so....he's be a huge fan favorite and he'd be adored by the crowds of 10,000 in Bradley's Carver Arena.

Miami just got a verbal from Class of 2016 Michael Weathers
This would be their final scholarship available according to the site verbalcommits.com - which might take one of the best "competitors" out of the running for Freddie McSwain!
Of course this is not definitive, as someone could still leave..but Miami was one of the better schools that had offered Freddie

They have a 4-Star, Top-100 SF coming in this fall and 7 or 8 more offers out right now for other players that play the same position..
Hope Freddie values his playing time next year and chooses wisely and doesn't just aim for a bigger conference that's throwing out a desperate last minute offer - as we have seen that the best teams in the MVC knock those lower half Big 12 guys off all the time

It would be nice to get McSwain. I would be very surprised if he makes a commitment this weekend. If he has offers from Kansas State, Auburn and whoever else, I would assume he will take the maximum allowed visits. Who wouldn't? Hopefully if he visits Auburn, it's not when they have their annual spring football game, with 40,000 plus fans there. It is pretty impressive and adds a lot to the campus atmosphere.

He sounds like a player we could really use and would get ample minutes. Unfortunately, today's players like to play in the NCAA and with only two years of eligibility remaining, his chances of playing in it are much greater with Kansas State or Auburn. Let's hope for the best.

lightsout- I like that Freddie is truly excvited about his visit to Bradley but just to tip you off....
you can't tweet links directly to unsigned recruits' personal sites- as we have learned in the past, there are a couple bozo haters who want to see Bradley fail, who will instantly call and rat on you to someone at BU prompting all kinds of angst and bizarre behavior.
I will PM you with some more laughable details about how petty some anti-BU, JG-butt-sniffers & and anti-JL people can be..
                          \
again - I would hope Freddie is smart enough to know what a disaster it would be to go play for Bruce Pearl...
they did not play a single good game down the stretch and basically lost almost all of their final 20 games...
It was a complete team mutiny and dumpster fire...

Wow, I knew you could not have any contact with potential recruits. I had no idea you couldn't even post a link to a recruits Twitter page. Have a great visit Freddie we would love to have you in Peoria!!

lightsout- this is a relatively NEW emphasis

see these..and NCAA asks any booster to follow these same potential contact rules
