Yes, that picture was probably taken just as Will Franklin made that half-court shot at halftime to put Bradley up 37-27 at halftime. That picture also shows a disgusted Bill Self starting his walk toward the locker room.

Bradley would hold on with huge baskets by Will Franklin, J.J. Tauai, Cellus, POB, and Daniel Ruffin, despite a desperate Kansas rally. What a great game!

The entire game from tip-off to finish can be seen here on YouTube.com-
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

And here is a brief highlight video-
Another 1st round loss for Bill Self. That's two in a row. Bob Huggins lost in the 1st round at Cincinnati, twice......in 14 NCAA appearances.

We were at our favorite bar-restaurant in Mesa getting ready for the game when a group of Kansas fans came in. They saw our BU sweaters and started on us right away. Where's Bradley?, where's Peoria?, etc. After the game they did congratulate us though. One guy told the better half they knew about Bradley and Peoria and were just having fun. She said she knew and we were having our fun now that the game was over. Great night and great season.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

The Kansas fans sitting behind the KU bench were not so gracious. They were ragging on the few of us Bradley fans who sat behind the BU bench all game (nearly all the Bradley contingent was across on the other side from the bench). After the game I moved closer to them to ask if anyone wanted to sell tickets for the next round (against Pitt). The women were actually crying, and a couple of the men told me to get lost, only in less polite terms. Kansas had been eliminated the year before in the first round by Bucknell, so apparently the loss to Bradley was quite traumatic for them.

Look at how far we have fallen in ten years. There is not one player on this years team would have seen the floor on that team.

Scout article on Bradley's Sweet 16 run
it has some info from interviews that I had never heard before...
                Example:
"...rumors about Coach Les probably getting fired...???If [Les was] going to get fired, he??™s not going to get fired on our hands" (Ruffin)

"..???[The (Pitt) guard from New York] elbowed or punched me in the back of the head at one point and got away with it .... ???You know how the rivalry is between Chicago and New York.." (Bennett)

That was Carl Krauser, the guard from Pitt who was frustrated the whole game by the great Bradley defense on him, and the fact that Bradley handled Pitt easily. He intentionally elbowed Tony Bennett in the head and got away with it. With today's replay, he would have been ejected.

I think SIU's Tony Young would have & should have been ejected also.
Young freely admitted his sole intent was to clobber POB.
But then what goes around comes around and It seems Young is still a thug .

Young being canned at ESL led to Phillip Gilbert getting the position!
Note- since then, Young was secretly videotaped in a lockerroom halftime profanity laced, racist rant telling players to "take out" and "clothesline" & injure opponent players.
