2016-2017 Men's College Basketball Conference RPI (Rating Percentage Index) - a ranking of conference based on the average RPI of the teams in the conference, plus non-conference wins and losses, the best teams and automatic bids from the conferences.
There are 5 conferences very close to one another, so the MVC could rise back to 10th or drop down as far as 14th very easily. It depends heavily on how the MVC teams do in these next couple weeks with their final non-conference games.
Once conference games start, there won't be as much chance of big changes, since for every win by an MVC team, there will also be a loss.
The MVC is starting today as the 11th ranked conference-
With several of today's MVC games against good opponents, the MVC probably will raise their RPI. But they could make a big jump with some key wins.

The non-conference schedule is almost complete.
The Illinois State -Tulsa game Sunday in the 3rd place game of the Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic is the only non-conference game left for MVC teams.
The MVC has fallen back to the 12th place Conference in RPI-
2016-2017 Men's College Basketball Missouri Valley Conference Home Page: conference information including conference RPI, overall record (wins, losses), conference standings (conference wins, conference losses), games back, RPI, top 50 record, last 10 record, win streak, plus daily conference scoreboard and results.
I do not recall the last time the MVC had no teams in the top 70 in RPI, and 12th place is as low as I can recall the MVC has ranked in more than 20 years.

Did we think The Shock would be a top 10 team after Baker and Van Fleet were gone? I did not. Them and UNI have fallen the farthest but they were the highest with the biggest cliff to fall off of. ISU red has a lot of potential.
Loyola is as good as they have been since joining the conf . Tip of the cap to Porter.
We are headed in the right direction.
Missouri St is the real deal.... IMO
Rankings schmankings...... Come March. UNI, Shock , Loyola, MSU and the birds will all be fine and win some games in some post season tourneys.
I predict.
Shock , because they've earned to be the fav untill someone dethrones them
ISU Red,
Loyola
MSU
UNI
BU
Aces
ISU blue
SIU
