They have been the longest holdout in declining to go with a post-seaosn Conference Tournament....instead playing only a regular season and sending their regular season winner to the NCAA.
Next year, in 2016-17 they will use a post-season tourney (for both men's and women's basketball) like every other D1 conference does.
The Ivy League Tournament will have a very unique format...
ONLY the top four teams in the league at season's end will qualify. Then they will seed the four teams and play a pair of semi-final games (1 v. 4 and 2 v. 3) on Saturday (3/11/2017) then the Championship on Sunday (3/12/2017).
