Great call by Coach to switch to a zone. What a game, can't wait for the Shox to come to town, we gotta keep up the atmosphere.

Whoa, one game at a time. Let's take care of business Saturday first. Time to chop down some Trees.

Ya for sure, wish I was going to Terre Haute. Definately can't look past the Sycamores.

Last nights game was as close to an NIT atmosphere in the CA that I can remember! The last couple of NIT games I attended were great.....every posession meant something....and last nights game had that same feeling! For a low-scoring affair it sure was exciting........not like the ole bob donawold 4 corners hold the ball for 3 minutes before you shoot low scoring but an in your face defensive battle! Very fun.....at least the INS game is on the tube!

Sorry if this was posted already-
Jim O'Donnell, who is a Bradley grad, follows college basketball for the Chicago Sun Times. He was at the game last night and filed this great report for the Sun Times.
More play on the term "Butter"--

I think it is Coach Les challenging the guys to 10 more secs of... be it "give it your all defensively" or "give it your all offensively".

I think it is a solid coaching effort to 'remind' players of how much time is left and do what is expected of them in that time span. I don't think there is a set play (unless there is a 'butter 15' or whatever meaning something) - just a reminder to gut it out.

The original use of the term 'butter' was as a nickname for players who were smooth as butter.

Man I agree Mike. For SOME reason people are saying the Arena was quiet and low key last nite. While the first half SIU did a good job at keeping the crowd out of it I think the place was up for grabs after the half.

Maybe I'm in a different world but MY row was going nuts...

dogs, two differewnt callers who made the effort to call in to Jim Les' Monday night radio show, both said the same thing,
that the arena has been rocking and the enthusiasm is near an all time high for this team.
Anyone who says otherwise, is simply not bothering to look.

As you know, where I sit, the BU personnel come in and out of the lockerroom, and occasionally I catch one of them for a second, and they are struck by exactly the same thing. The crowd is great, and it goes with the major contributions rolling in and the members in the Chief's Club and Scholarship Society skyrocketing.
Three years ago there were 4 members in the BU Scholarship Society, now there are 40. Just look in the game programs to see how strongly people are beginning to support this program and get on board for the ride.
It will only get better.......and thanks for all your support, dogs!
