Here is a summary of how former Bradley players did with their new schools this year.
Nate Wells- Played in 27 of Ball State's 30 games with no starts. Averaged 7.9 minutes, 1.7 ppg, and 1.4 rpg. He shot 44.7% and never attempted a 3-point shot this season. Ball State is 19-11 and 10-7 in the MAC, and tied for 1st in the West Division. They have 1 scheduled game left Friday, March 4 at NIU before starting their MAC Conference Tournament Monday, March 7.
Kendahl Amerson- Played in 21 of 29 games for Division II Central Oklahoma, and started 8 games. Averaged 19.5 minutes, 12.0 ppg, 2.0 rpg. He shot 39.6%, and 36.8% from three. Central Oklahoma is 16-13 overall and 11-11 in their conference. They are still playing in their conference tournament. However, Kendahl Amerson was suspended from the team in early February. He has not appeared in any games since his suspension and he has since been quietly removed from the team's roster. Apparently, he was dismissed from the team.
Anthony Fields- Played in all 31 games for Liberty University, and started 11 of them. Averaged 24.1 minutes, 5.4 ppg, 2.8 apg, 1.7 t/o per game, and he shot 45.7% overall and 36.4% from three. Liberty is 13-18, and 10-8 in the Big South Conference. They start play in the Big South Conference Tournament Friday, March 4 as the #5 seed.
Omari Grier- Played in 28 of Rutgers 29 games so far (they have 2 games left, plus the Big Ten Tournament). He started 17 games and averaged 21.1 minutes, 7.5 ppg, 1.4 rpg, and 0.6 apg. He shot 38.7% from three. In Big Ten games, he averaged 9.2 ppg, but shot only 32.1% from three. But in the games I saw, he was a defensive liability. Rutgers' record so far is 6-23, 0-16 in the Big Ten and solidly in 14th place (dead last).
Jermaine Morgan- Played in 27 of the 28 games at Division II Kentucky Wesleyan College, and started in 8 of them. He averaged 5.6 ppg and 5.7 rpg in 20.7 mpg. Kentucky Wesleyan is 25-3 and 11-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference. They are ranked #9 in the D2 Top 25 rankings. They start play in their conference tournament Friday (March 4) as the #1 seeded team.
Jordan Swopshire- Played in all 29 games for Colgate of the Ptriot League. He started 25 games, averaged 25.0 mpg, 10.4 ppg, 4.6 rpg, and shot 42.8% from three.
Colgate is 13-16, 9-9 in the Patriot League. They start play today (Wed. March 3) as the #5 seed in their conference tournament.
Shayok Shayok- Played in 24 of 28 games so far, and has started 22 of them. He averages 23.9 mpg, 7.4 ppg, and a team-leading 5.3 rpg. He shoots 54.7% overall, and is 4-10 from three.
UMKC is 10-18 overall, and 3-10 in the WAC and in 7th place out of 8 teams. They have 1 more game Saturday, March 5, at last place Chicago State, then start their conference tournament Thursday, March 10 in Las Vegas.
Tramique Sutherland- Played in 18 of 28 games for Division II University of Texas of the Permian Basin (UTPB). He started 9 games. He averaged 19.9 mpg, 6.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg, and 2.2 apg in those 18 games. He shot just 14.8% from three (4-27). He has not played in any games for the past 5 weeks and there has not been any mention anywhere if it is because of injury or suspension.
UTPB finished their regular season 15-13, 10-10 in the Heartland Conference. They start play in the Heartland Conference Tournament Thursday, March 4.
Jimmy Gavin- Finished his senior season at Winthrop University. He played in all 29 games, and started 28 of them. He averaged 18.0 ppg in 33.4 minutes per game, and shot 42.7% from three. Winthop is 21-8. Their 13-5 Big South Conference record tied for 1st place in the league. They start play in the Big South Tournament on Friday, March 4, as the #2 seed.
Yesterday, the Big South announced their post-season awards, and Jimmy was named 1st team All Conference-

He averaged 28.8 minutes, 6.3 ppg, and lead his team with 3.8 assists per game, and shot 37.5% from three. Portland State is 10-17, and 6-10 in the Big Sky Conference (currently tied for 8th of 12 teams) with 2 regular season games left to play. They start their conference tournament March 8.
3 others- Josh Cunningham (Dayton), Xzavier Taylor (IPFW), and Warren Jones (UW-Green Bay) all sat out this season and will be eligible to play next season.
