Not to get ahead of ourselves, since we still have several games to win...but........
We need another event kinda like the Tradition Plays in Peoria banquet last spring...
but this one can be kinda casual...OK to hold it at Ren-Col so it isn't so difficult to plan or reserve some other facility...and will keep costs down...
Maybe have hot dogs, pizza, or chicken & spaghetti like the Itoo Supper - but also consider a nicer buffet line in case some of our long time fans would prefer that.
Maybe a Saturday afternoon with things for kids....
even maybe open up one end if the Mitchell JJ Anderson Court for kids to shoot some hoops with the players like what the team did last fall - LINK
I believe if we have such an event it would be a huge success despite the overall W-L record - and it will inspire our returning players by showing them how much the fans & community are behind them.
BTW- does anyone recall our last post-season banquet?
It was back in 2009 and we have never had either a preseason nor post-season banquet since.
It was pretty much held YEARLY and was a massive success with sellouts almost every season - LINK - LINK -
especially 2006 when we drew between 950-1,000 people and had to move the event to the Civic Center exhibition hall!
It is a tradition that fans will love & appreciate!
