Anthony Beane is now just 11-43 since getting named Player of the Week - including 2-14 against Bradley and 1-8 so far tonight..
he doesn't look at all like the player who averaged > 20 ppg all season
SIU is getting schooled royally by ISU (gotta be the headbands) even beginning to clear their bench with 10 minutes to go..
got Stradnieks in with Fletcher playing point guard
-
so Rooney just called it for ISU? They are an NIT team...
Northwestern about to go down to Michigan...but again Nate Taphorn didn't see a minute of playing time...
so since January- he's made just one single 2-minute appearance in a blowout win against Minnesota...
one garbage two-minute stint in the last FIVE GAMES...
the kid was a 50% shooter from the arc last year!!

ISU Red won going away 73-50 over SIU as Paris Lee had a career high of 21 points to lead the Redbirds. SIU led 3-0 then ISU outscored the Salukis 33-6 over the next 16 minutes. Anthony Beane was held to just 2 points.
Drake and Missouri State were in a close game throughout most of it but the Bears pulled away late to win 61-52. Drake led at the half 29-27 but the Bears took the lead for good early in the 2nd half and never trailed. Camyn Boone led Missouri State with 17 points.
UNI and ISU Blue went back and forth for the 1st 10 minutes then the Sycamores went scoreless for almost 8:00 and the Panthers rolled to the win 66-44. The led by as much as 30 in the 2nd half. Wes Washpun led UNI with 16 points. ISU Blue has now lost 6 in a row.
Wichita leads at Loyola 50-33 with 14 left in the game and Fred Van Fleet hasn't scored.

Wichita wins easy 76-54 . The only seeds decided for Arch Madness going into the last games on Saturday are Wichita at #1, BU at #9 and Drake at #10. ISU Red and Evansville are tied for 2nd and split their regular season series. The Redbirds play at Wichita and Evansville host UNI. SIU and UNI are tied for 4th and split their regular season series. SIU is home to Missouri State who is in 6th by themselves. Loyola and ISU Blue are tied for 7th and split their regular season series. Loyola is at Drake with ISU Blue hosts BU. Good chance if we beat ISU Blue that we'll play them again in St. Louis. Missouri State split their season series with both Loyola and ISU Blue. What all of the season splits mean is that the tiebreaker to be used to seed everybody will be RPI rankings.

depending on Saturday's results our Thursday opponent in St. Louis could be Loyola, Indiana State, or Missouri State...as those are the three teams vying for that coveted 8th seed to face Bradley or get the 7th seed and face Drake or the 6th seed and avoid Thursday.
Missouri State has the worst RPI of the three, followed by Loyola in case teams tie at the 8th spot...and right now as it sits, Loyola has to win vs. Drake - and Missouri State has to lose vs. SIU for Missouri State to drop to the 8th seed.
SIU has now fallen all the way to 5th seed with their 6th loss in their last 9 games. Just about 3 weeks ago they were in a battle for fist place!!!
BTW- credit where credit is due...
ISU had a pretty decent crowd given the weather
