In a game that I think shows the big gap between the true top teams in the MVC and the next tier teams -
Evansville is beating SIU 70-47 and it's really not even that close (still 8 minutes left)
SIU has the ability to play better, but Evansville is shooting 26-44 (59.1%)

and with only about 3 minutes left Illinois State looks like they are going down...
    it's UNI 65 - ISU 53

ISU's Devaughn Akoon-Purcell had only 2 pts in the 2st half - then was replaced by Justin McCloud in the 2nd half.
His final stats- 1-4, 2 pts, 3 rebs

Final score Northern Iowa 75 - ISU 66

ISU was down by 19 early in the 2nd half but was able to cut it to 3 by the 10 minute mark but couldn't get it any closer. All 5 starters for UNI were in double figure led by Wes Washpun with 18 points while Paris Lee has 14 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists for the Redbirds. ISU has now lost 10 straight games at UNI.

Evansville is now tied with ISU for 2nd with their 83-71 win over SIU. The Purple Aces never trailed in the game and just were never challenged. D.J. Balentine had 27 points and 6 assists to lead Evansville while Anthony Beane led SIU with 22. For most of the game Evansville was shooting over 60% from the field. Both teams combined to shoot 30-34 from the FT line. That might be a record for this season. Balentine has now moved into 5th all time in the MVC in scoring.

It was mentioned on Muller's post game, that Akoon-Purcell has been suffering

          from migraines this week.

he will probably even get to #4 (John Williams 2,374) but will never catch the top three guys (Bird 2,850, Oscar Robertson 2,973, Hawkins 3,008 )
