This one is interesting....
Darrell Bowie is a senior at NIU who is a 3-year starter at NIU & one of their best players in that interval....
and he averaged 10ppg & 5.4 rpg last year but he is redshirting this season due to an injury to his NON-shooting shoulder - an injury he played thru half of last season but then had surgery.
BUT - he is recovering and now is going to leave NIU and transfer as a fully eligible grad-transfer for his final season of eligibilty.
Back in 2012 when Darrell was in high school at Wauwatosa, WI he was a prime recruiting target of Brian Wardle at Green Bay - who offered him a scholarship
Here's one other interesting comment- one that I cannot completely confirm...
... that some reports list his mother as Veronica (& Kim) Guyton, but other reports (hard to confirm) say he is the son of ex-NBAer Sam Bowie.
Wouldn't it be something to brag about to say your dad was drafted ahead of Michael Jordan?
