I have not counted walk-ons - but especially on the older years, I can't really be 100% sure who was a walk-on, and I am sure I have missed someone - so let me know...I start with the beginning of the Dick Versace era...

Yes, I remember that Carl played his last games in the Hawaii Tournament. We were there and watched some very interesting calls and non-calls by the local refs.

so by my measure...it's only happened once since 1988 (28 seasons - as I am already counting this season) and only 4 times since the Joe Stowell era when players simply didn't leave and transfer so much..

Hope fully if I left anyone out of my list- someone will spot it & lmk

a couple corrections/additions...
1996-97 Anthony Grundy was signed then got a phone call & bolted for greener pastures
1989-90 Beach not Beech
2006-07 Fears
2006-07 Dwight Buycks was signed to a scholarship then reneged
2007-08 Thornton (but I believe he was a walk-on)
2012-13 Michael Tucker was signed then reneged

one other who was signed then backed out and never came was Lee Biddlecome in 2003
