This isn't the officials fault. It is due to several players with poor defensive fundamentals. Good defensive fundamentals can be taught, but shouldn't have to be taught at this level. There is a difference between good defensive effort and good defensive fundamentals.

Here are the top five teams in terms of disqualifications this season:
1. Washington 36
2. Bradley 23
3. E. Michigan 21
4. W. Carolina 19
4. Manhattan 19
Bradley - 10 freshmen, 1 sophomore on roster
E. Michigan - 5 freshmen, 3 sophomores on roster
W. Carolina - 4 freshmen, 5 sophomores on roster
Manhattan - 3 freshmen, 5 sophomores on roster
I think we can see the common thread here and I am convinced that the refs who know who are new players to DI and call fouls accordingly...

Interesting statistic. However, if you look at the foul stats of the other teams in the top 5, you will find that their freshmen actually aren't committing that many fouls per game. Most are committed by sophomores, juniors and seniors.
Bradley's freshmen are averaging 18.3 fouls per game.
Eastern Michigan's freshmen are averaging 5.7 fouls per game.
Western Carolina's freshmen are averaging 4.8 fouls per game.
Manhattan's freshmen are averaging 3.6 fouls per game.
Washington's freshmen stats were unavailable.

Bradley is no longer the lowest scoring team in Division I.
With the Braves scoring 70 and 71 points in their last 2 games, Bradley's season scoring average has now risen very slightly above Arkansas-Pine Bluff to now rank 350th out of 351 Division I schools-
Bradley's season scoring average 54.833
Arkansas-Pine Bluff scoring average 54.826

They are now slightly behind American University for 349th place, but it may not be easy to rise much higher.
Also, Bradley has been at the bottom of D1 in 3-point percentage, but now has risen above 4 teams to now rank 347th with 27.9% -
Bradley is 348th in overall shooting percentage with 36.8%
Bradley also has improved recently in assists to turnover ratio. They now rank 340th-
349th in assists/game- 9.1 apg
And #1 in the country in turnovers/game with 17.2/game-
