He first needs to show sustained success anywhere -- he didn't with the semi-pro ABA...
He failed miserably in the one season he led Parkland College (massive player departures who said they wouldn't play for him)....
and when he was handed the team at Champaign Central HS in 2014 - they said he was the natural guy for that job
".. if his last name was anything other than McClain,
he'd be the guy because of what he has demonstrated.."
but then LESS THAN 6 months later, after a mediocre 2014-15, he was booted and replaced again at Champaign Central...
