wonder if we're looking at this kid from Suffolk County Community College...
Cheick Sy-Savane, 6-3 guard
The kid is kind of obscure but here are his last five games...
11-18, 2-4 from the arc, 38 pts
12-24, 4-6 from the arc, 39 pts
12-24, 2-6 from the arc, 36 pts
15-35, 5-11 form the arc, 47 pts
15-30, 8-17 from the arc, 48 pts
Sy-Savane is averaging almost 30 ppg & 44% from the arc, and he also regularly grabs 8-10 rebs lately

I know - but a shooter is a shooter...
There have been a few lower level juco kids like Cleanthony Early -
I know most people won't recall - but a kid named Nafis Ricks was a pretty significant part of Cuonzo Martin's 26-win team back in 2011
But you hafta admit, those recent numbers are pretty impressive - bet someone gives the kid a shot...

was 7-16 from the arc, 10-11 from the FT line and scored 41 pts last night to go with 4 rebs, 3 asst
His scoring burst since Christmas has boosted his scoring average from about 15 to almost 30 ppg
that's 28-60 from the arc in the past month and the kid is shooting a high volume not just carefully selected wide open shots...
Obviously I have never seen the kid play but I would sure love to have a kid with Jesperson-like skills...how many times have other teams like UNI & ISU knocked us off by killing us with 3 pt shots? I'm sure many will recall the Marc Sonnen, Matt Bohannon, Anthony James, and Ali Farokhmanesh games.

the player noted above- Cheick Sy-Savane now leads all of Junior College basketball in scoring with about 28ppg
..he also hits 40% on 3's and shoots a large volume of them
Other players who are NATIONAL leaders....that we have mentioned...
BU recruit Kavell Bigby-Williams of Gillette College leads the nation in two different categories...
He has 13.7 rebounds per game and an amazing 5.9 blocks per game - nearly double the next closest guy!! (and is among the leaders in FG%)
Jovan Mooring of South Suburban College in South Holland, IL - leads all of Division II in NJCAA with 26.6 points per game
