Donte,Suggs, Luke, and Pittman are definite keepers IMO.....I'm unsure about DLO and Barker.....and I'm not sure why James only 5 minutes last night either.
Agree you can't make real judgements on them based off of win/loss record this year. I think all of the players you mention are worth keeping around. At worst they are substitute good, with potential to be starters in the Valley. You can't run off every player every year simply because they can't dominate. Geno did that and look where that got him. If you have guys who are at least as good as your opponents backups, it gets easier to recruit and develop those one or two guys that will carry your team.
      Gotta stop feeding the trolls.

yeah...I know...but some of his mistakes have nothing to do with PG abilities IMO. Even if you aren't a true PG and you keep driving deep into the paint after 22 games and keep throwing up really bad shots and making really bad passes you know you have to adjust the way you do things. He needs to improve his shot to be effective as a 2...otherwise you have another KDB..

I like DLO..I love his attitude but he's got to adjust. I hear Wardle yelling at him all the time but he's making the same mistakes over and over.

Correct Lefty, I said the same thing in another post. This is why we are seeing the play we are watching. The people to blame for all this is the BU Board that hired a president who had a record of dismantling athletic departments/programs The B---- first ran off our AD, Ticket Mger. A good coach (with a Top 16 finish, who happen to be a x-player and alum with so much heart for BU) and the list go's on and on But her biggest and worst accomplishment was she all but destroyed one of the loyalest fan base in the NCAA. All she undone will take time to redo. We have a good new AD and coach, they will turn it around and the fans WILL BE BACK

DLO, Barker, Cooper, Okafor and James are making the same mistakes they made and just as often as they did at the beginning of the season. Suggs, Pittman and VanBree have gotten better and do not make the same mistakes as often as they did earlier in the year. That is why their minutes have gone up. DLO may not be a point guard, but he has not shown me he is a good enough shooter to be a 2 guard. When VanBree, Suggs and Pittman miss shots they generally ring around and come of the rim. When the other freshmen miss, they are generally clankers. If you watch them in warmups you can tell who are shooters and who aren't. James and Barker are a liability on defense, Okafor has been a major disappointment and Cooper really doesn't contribute much of anything on the floor.

In my opinion we've got 3 players in the freshmen class to build a team around. The other 5 freshmen are projects. We can't afford that many projects. You could see the frustration on Wardle's face last night during the game when the same players are making the same mistakes. Last night he would look down the bench, to see who he could put in, and you could see the frustration on his face, when he realized he didn't have anyone on the bench that he could go to.

I would play Hanley a lot more. At least he is fundamentally sound.

Yes, Hanley and even D'Angelo McBride if we need him. One positive for Callum is that his free throw shooting has greatly improved. Luuk is looking very impressive, and it is hard to know what to think of DLO.

              Let's beat Drake on Saturday!

Best post I have read in awhile. +100. It is going to take time to fix the mess she made. Sad thing in the meantime more and more potential students will pass BU by and more of the old time fans will pass on.

There will be immediate playing time available - that is one of our best recruiting tools...
but it also is something that might cause the current players to feel pressured - and stressed over the possibility of not staying at Bradley on scholarship..
The next several games against Drake, Missouri State, Loyola, etc...
are games against teams who do not have dominant low post guys - and those have been (Loyola & MSU) the very games that Callum has had his best performances (12 pts/13 rebs against MSU, 10 pts/9 rebs against Loyola)
Hopefully the guys get it together and head to St. Louis with a little winning streak going.
