After the tipoff, Bradley looked great. They were playing great defense, and the offense.... well, they had some nice looks.

ISU was horrible from the arc, but they had some nice midrange jumpers. Without Reggie Lynch, they have no inside presence.

Not wanting to get all over DLO, but if he had made more of his free throws, the game would have been tied or won. He kept getting fouled. Also, Pittman's wide-open air ball three was unacceptable. Some of those layups looked like last year.

I liked the defense, though, and Suggs and Van Bree played very well. Too bad that Thomas had foul trouble. Wichita, here we come!

On the bolded part, that happens to the best of them. Ron Baker has had probably 3 or 4 airballs this year, a couple were wide open. It happens lol.

the stats have us for 12 turnovers...that's hard to believe since I saw the halftime stats and we had 9 in the 1st half. Pretty sure they missed a few.

Hate to sound repetitive but we still need the same things we have needed for four years...
--better point guard play, big guys that stay out of foul trouble, shooters who can hit the open shot, make free throws, and for gosh sakes make the open layups!
Hopefully some scholarships will open up and Wardle can recruit some players that are able to execute the basic fundamentals and shoot. If not, it is going to a long time before we're able to reach .500. I fail to understand how guards can't shoot free throws or handle the ball anymore. Thank goodness for Ronnie Suggs or we'd be in real trouble.

Might be strange timing to say so, but I am believing more and more that we are on the right track with this team and staff. It looks like by years end we may start to become more competitive, and give ourselves something to build from in the off season.

I like the development of Suggs and VanBree, yet I'm becoming disappointed with seeing DLo fall behind a bit. His has some great upside in driving and drawing fouls, etc but he neutralizes all of his advantage with poor form from the line and turnovers. I believe he can turn that around.

One very slight improvement in either shooting % or FT % would've won us the game last night. Still, it seems ISU may continue to underperform while we're working toward surpassing them in the near future. I look forward to seeing that come to reality. I'd like to see BU return to the NCAA before ISU, and I feel there's a strong chance of it playing out that way.

btw- on that one comment in his column about the pass that went "eight rows into the seats"..
..just a little exaggeration - as it tipped off the hands of the folks in the 1st row then bounced on the floor in front of me and I tossed it back to the ref - and I sit in the 2nd row....so maybe 1.5 rows into the seats

you can find the link yourself but yet another article today, this one by Dave Reynolds detailing what we already know, how bad Bradley's offense is - and does not touch on the reason it got this way ...nor how we were forced to make such massive changes and rebuild.
...nor how he didn't see it coming for four years and reported continuously how we were headed in the right direction.
Some of those reasons were discussed at the reception for Dr. Roberts last nite...
