One other big upset - although not really since UK is not a good road team...
Kentucky goes to 1-3 on the road losing at Auburn 75-70

    ...and Auburn storms the court!!
All the gurus had Skal Labissiere as Player of the Year and guaranteed top draft pick...
but he doesn't even start and had just 4 pts & 2 rebs

You forgot to single out Max's game and stats, in playing only 17 mins.

Yes, nice game by Max. He seemed to have no problem against the Illinois big men with 16 & 8 in just 17 minutes.

Illini have been one piece of bad news after another...
but for those who care - here's a followup on Darius Paul who was going to be their starting center before he got booted for "issues"

He's playing at the NAIA level but definitely NOT dominating. He's played in 3 games, and averaged 3.7 points/game

Illinois Head Coach John Groce just lost out on another highly rated big man recruit. Harry Frohling, an Australian big man, committed to SMU tonight over Illinois.

anyone interested in a further followup of ex-Illini Darius Paul...

after transferring from Western Michigan to Illinois, he then hopped around to juco (Lamar State-Port Arthur), then went to Hope College
But he didn't last long there and after just 5 games where he averaged 2 ppg, he was booted and scrubbed from their roster.

                  - but now he's finishing up his college career at Robert Morris-Chicago.

They are actually pretty good- 19-4 with a 17-game winning streak.
                  Darius Paul is putting up 18 ppg/8 rpg/and hitting 48% on 3-pointers (23-4

Robert Morris has 3 campuses, and the RMU-Peoria team is coached by ex-Bradley Brave Bobby Ford.

BUT RMU-Peoria is not very good this year - just 3-11....with 2 wins over RMU Springfield and one over a high school team

but RMU Springfield is not doing well at all.........and has to be perhaps one of the worst college teams in the nation
                  they are winless - 0-16
but only 3 of their losses are even within 20 pts
                  most are 40-50 point blowouts

Illini play horribly, shoot horribly and lose at home to Minnesota..
they drop to 3-8 in the Big Ten and Rutgers won today - so Illinois is only one game out of last place..
Quite the meltdown on the Illinois boards/..

Reggie Lynch (formerly of ISU) was Minnesota's leading scorer 15 points and 6 rebounds.

I daresay we could have used him tonight.

And there were people that didn't think he could play at Minnesota or in the Big 10.

He had the talent but had he stayed at ISU, I think he'd have had a better chance of playing in the post-season

There were reasons he left (had to leave).... and many of us observers of college talent KNEW he could play in the B10. He woulda dominated the MVC and dominated Wich St.... but he just couldn't keep his own locker clean of crap.
