play for both teams is a bit wild, undisciplined, playground-type shots and sloppy play..
ISU has the more talented athletes and tries to at least get the ball to the hoop - the Sycs launch bad 3-pointers (just 2-11)
Sycamores are fortunate to be this close- 3 of their starters played poorly and are scoreless, Bunschoten, a 25% 3-pt shooter launched a couple and missed...Comment

After trailing Illinois State for the first 25 minutes of the game, Indiana State caught fire from three point range in the 2nd half (they are 6-7 in the 2nd half), and they are pulling away from the Redbirds.

starting PG CJ Rivers broke a bone in his left hand (he IS left handed) - in the game and will have surgery this week - out for the season...
Drake is 0-4 in the MVC arguably having played a milder schedule than BU - so just maybe we can grab that 9th seed?
also saw a few other articles - Minnesota fans begging for the Gophers to go get Ben Jacobson, Florida State fans wanting to offer Gregg Marshall $3 mil+
Meanwhile, much easier schedules thus far have both Illinois State & Indiana State at 3-1 in Valley play
neither have had to play any of the contenders except one game where InSU played Evansville & lost
BTW - Loyola is also 0-4...with a soft early schedule -- and they were pretty heavily hyped this season after 24 wins last year and most of the team back.
Many thought they would contend this season and they even GOT ONE FIRST PLACE vote!
Milton Doyle was given preseason All-Conference honors....but averaging just 9 ppg in MVC play.Comment
