BU has not scored 89 pts in a road win since 1988 in a win @ SIU? Man.....that's something right there!

I remember that game at SIU arena 2/29/88. It was the last game of the regular season in 1988 and the game was a high scoring, back-and-forth game until Bradley pulled away to win 113-102. Hersey Hawkins awed the crowd with 49 points on an array of jumpers, drives, and dunks. The game clinched the MVC title for Bradley and after the arena cleared, the few Bradley fans there (it was on a Monday) helped the Braves cut down the nets at the SIU Arena as souvenirs.
Here are a couple shots of Jerry Thomas and Donald Powell cutting down the nets with my scissors!
