I love it.
Has to be the funniest thing I have read in a while.
Thanks B-n-C.

Tramique Sutherland and Kendahl Amerson had no choice, because they would not have been academically eligible to stay and play at Bradley (that is why they transferred to Division II schools).
Omari Grier wanted to play somewhere for a winning team and chose not to be a part of a rebuilding project his final year (Rutgers is now 6-8, and will get pounded in the Big Ten).
And Jermaine Morgan was not a Division I caliber player, and transferred to a Division II school for his final season (Kentucky Wesleyan) where he is a reserve averaging under 5 points per game.
Warren Jones was invited to stay and was kept on the team, along with Shaw and Bell, until late August, then was dismissed for repeated violations of team rules. Recall that he was one of those arrested last January for obstruction of identification and criminal trespass.
That is every one of the "leftover" players.
So who among those players could have been coaxed to stay? And what concessions would Wardle have had to make to keep them, and would any of them have made a significant difference (recall that when the entire team was intact, they won just 3 MVC games, and 9 total wins while playing a much easier schedule). Also, recall that Geno Ford did not have a single recruit either verbally committed or signed for 2015-16.

there's more than a few UNI fans thinking that the last few games have cemented Ben Jacobson's status as the frontrunner to get the Wisconsin head coaching spot permanently.
Maybe he'd turn it down but.... the chance to coach in the Big Ten plus the additional $2 million per year that he'd earn has to be a little bit of a lure.

The overall mess of BU basketball is not on Wardle. What is on Wardle is that this team is getting worse, not better, and his job is to teach and coach so that we see a little more hope and a little more to cheer about every time out. That's not happening, and in fact the reverse is happening. And now we're starting to hear the old "not every player showed up" and lack-of-effort language that I NEVER wanted to hear in the Wardle era. Mental preparedness and attitude are 100% reflections of the coach, and we'd better stop hearing that nonsense BUT FAST.
Wardle has a pass this year, but 2-30 is going to be a lot harder to take if we come out of it with a bunch of emotionally bruised losers. BU is in dangerous territory here.

Men's BB
Our program is in a big mess for sure.It could get even worse if the rumor I heard today is true.Chris Reynolds name has been mentioned on a short list as Indiana AD.Has anyone heard this? Also if Wardle continues to want to run the clock down and hope to get a decent shot off we are in for a boring style of basketball.

We will come out of this. We are better off now because there will be a future. I'm still behind them 100%.

If offered I have no doubt Dr. Reynolds would jump at the chance, but can't see it happening right now or any time soon until Dr. Reynolds builds a resume.

I think some were fooled when we won the first game.....all of a sudden we were going to surprise people etc, etc.....freshman playing with freshman in a new system against most guys that are 2-4 years older in established systems and Wardle had a late recruiting start for us and did what he could. We have to let it play out some before blasting away IMO...
I have faith in BW as well as the rest of the staff......

Hard to know for sure. With no recruits signed for 2015, Geno may have been forced to keep guys like Jermaine Morgan and Warren Jones, who I think would not have helped much or would have been a bad influence on the team. I suspect he would have made a late push to sign several other marginal juco recruits which would have guaranteed several more seasons of losing.
I think Xzavier would have stayed, but I believe Josh was sold on moving on after his good freshman numbers. I do not think he would have returned to Bradley even if Geno and Chin were here.
