a couple of my Illini friends who were there at the Illini-UIC game said the place was kinda like a mausoleum....
huge, quiet and largely empty...
they played the game at the United Center but drew very few fans...
the reported attendance was 5151 but it seemed emptier since the seating capacity is 23,000.
Seriously - if you're gonna bring the Illini to the UnitedCenter - have them play Notre Dame, Marquette, or Kansas....but not UIC when both teams are rebuilding.
