Geno recruited a good shooter in Omari Grier......he just didn't shoot well here....he's over 50% from 3 at Rutgers...with 18 pts so far today against Indiana

Omari never had a chance at Bradley. He's a catch and set shooter who needs to be in a well run offense with other players around him that pose a scoring threat. He had neither during his time at Bradley. I'm glad he gets to enjoy his final season since I heard he was a real good kid.

Omari could only shoot when nobody's guarding...
not sure if IU bothered...but when he was here, he'd hit OK in some early games like UT-Arlington then when we got to MVC play and people actually guarded him, he'd shoot 25%...

IU does not bother to guard anyone.

just recalled - we had one other kid pledged to Bradley back in 2010 that went on to be one of the nation's best 3-pt shooters but was not allowed by our admin to play here, then yet another that landed with him - that also shot 49% last year and was POY in his conference.

That's one kid I'm thankful we DIDN'T get. From what I've read that you've said on here, you seem to be a pretty moral and stand-up guy Tornado. I'm actually surprised that you'd want a kid like that representing the Red & White. I sure wouldn't.

not sure if you and I are thinking of the same kids... I was thinking of Tyler Les & Corey Hawkins

My bad sir, and my apology. I thought you meant the kid who ended up at Ol Miss. We certainly could have used the two that you just mentioned.

Les wasn't allowed to play here?....and Hawkins was coming here?

ah ha - you're referring to Marshall Henderson and that's an entirely different topic...

were his indiscretions enough to outweigh his talent and his value to the team...
sounds like you and I agree they were - but there's a lot who felt otherwise.

After watching the NIU game I would say we shouldn't turn down any good player at ANY position.

Please explain why you would want a kid with Henderson's track record at Bradley. I'd be embarrassed, as an alum, to have trash like him representing my school.

The word 'good' has multiple meanings. It is not confined to your view.

To be honest, I did not refer to your statement about Henderson. I was addressing to 'original' topic of this thread about 'needing shooters'. We need more than just shooters. A 'good' point guard would be just one example of not concentrating on just shooters.

Notice my comments here do not preclude the need of shooters also.

Gotcha LTF. I misinterpreted your comment. Sorry.
