we do continue to find the most inventive ways to turn the ball over...
Scottie James played very well - in just 18 minutes he had 16 pts, 7 rebs and just one turnover..
He certainly has shown he deserves to possibly start & play ahead of some of the players who have stat lines with lots of fouls & lots of T/O

On his postgame show, Coach Wardle twice said that he was pleased to see Scottie come off the bench and play so well, "but now he has to bring it in practice". So apparently, what is holding him back is he doesn't have good practices.

      Game story from BradleyBraves.com
ARLINGTON, TX - Kevin Hervey and Erick Neal each scored 20 points and turned in double-doubles, leading the host Mavericks (8-2) to a 97-61 win against Bradley Tuesday night at College Park Center.

        Tough Start

Turnovers are a major issue, and we won't win many games playing like that, but the way Dave described it was that UTA just flat out played us. We weren't good, but we've had worse offensive games this year. I know it's mainly because UTA pushed the pace, but 61 points in a game without 2 of our top guys is a minor positive.

I hate losing in blowout fashion, but I still see potential in a lot of these guys. Every single freshman has had at least one game that really impressed me, save for Coop who I think has been the most consistent in what he gives us, even if he hasn't had that one big game like the others have had. This is a very young and inexperienced team that needs more time. I just hope we all can remember this and be patient. I'm struggling with that myself, but I still think coach will get this thing moving in the right direction.
Like most of you, I remain optimistic about the future. Yes, I wish we would have more victories at this point. We all know these things and I am not making excuses, but let??™s remember:
??? Yes, we are getting hammered so far, but we have hope this year, that we didn??™t have last year
??? Our program was not moving forward last year; it was still spiraling downward
??? The downward spiral had inertia. We may still be in it?
??? Last year we only won 9 games with an experienced team against lesser competition
??? We were hungry for change and it can??™t come fast enough. At least now, we are now hopeful
??? Coach Wardle came on at the end of the period just before April 2015 signings
??? He got the best players remaining and they are good young men, who have talent and who play hard
??? Most of our starters are playing in a new country
??? Most of our starters are used to a more physical game
??? At times, we have started 5 freshman who have only played together for 10 weeks now if NCAA practices began about 10-1. We have had limited practices since the season began
??? We have played a darn tough schedule so far with arguably the youngest team in the nation. You guys know better than I do, but did we have this tough of an early schedule in recent years?
??? It is not a one man show. We have had almost all of our starters (and first off the bench kids), lead the team in scoring so far
        ??? Our kids play hard
??? I??™m thinking some of them are beginning to turn the corner in making the transition to the D1 game
??? We are looking for positive signs. We are seeing some.

Maybe I see the world through rose colored glasses.
        Go Bradley!!!!
