For anyone who likes an amazing ending in a college game, the Kennesaw State-Elon game last night was one of those games.
Kennesaw State stretched their lead to 8 points (89-81) with 19 seconds left at Elon, and looked like sure winners. But somehow they ended up losing the game! Elon got a quick layup with 15 seconds left to cut the lead to 89-83. Then after inbounding the ball, Kennesaw State was fouled with 12 seconds left. They missed both free throws, and Elon came down and made a three with 5 seconds left to cut the lead to 89-86. Then Elon stole the ball and was fouled attempting a three with 1 second left. Elon made all 3 FTs to tie the game. Elon even stole the ball again on the next Kennesaw State inbounds with 1 second left, but missed another shot as the last second expired.
Elon then went on to outscore Kennesaw State 14-4 in overtime to win the game 103-93.
