There are 2 MVC games today (Thursday, Nov. 26)-

2-1 Wichita State without Fred Van Vleet will play at undefeated 4-0 USC in the Advocare Invitational in Orlando, Florida at 1:00 PM on ESPN2.

And 3-0 Evansville plays 4-0 Providence in the DirectTV Wooden Legacy in Fullerton, California at 8:00 PM on ESPNU.

#20 Wichita loses to unranked USC 72-69
They fall to 2-2 and probably will drop from the Top 25

Ron Baker did a yeoman's job trying to win it on his own..
...took 20 shots, scored 25 while the rest of the starting five went 9-29
Freshman Ty Taylor tried stepping up but was 1-10 off the bench..


MVC drops to 26-22 overall but just 21-22 against DI opponents...


Evansville's game is on ESPN3 at 8pm Central

This is a good tourney.

Wichita gets an SEC opponent, and a beatable one with Alabama.

Then... the losers bracket is filled with upsets and so, this might pay off in the long run.

The other side has Notre Dame against Iowa. So an ACC and B10.

Not all bad that Wichita lost. The tourney has lots of long term potential benefit if they can win on this side.
