The talent rich showcase, is one of the most anticipated events in high school basketball featuring Florida high school basketball stars from two conferences and across the state including 15 Division 1 signees, 2 McDonald’s All-Americans, and the National High School Dunk Champion. The All-Star stage is set for Saturday, May 7 from 6 to 9:30pm at Tampa Catholic High School- 4630 North Rome Avenue, Tampa, FL 33603, with doors opening at 5pm and boasts 12 SIAA All-Stars Vs. 12 FHSAA All-Stars with athletes signed to play for;; University of Florida, Miami, Oklahoma State, UL Lafayette, South Carolina, UT Chattanooga, South Florida, Bradley, Kansas and other top talent yet unsigned. The “Battle of the Beast” Basketball All-Star game is sure to be one of the finest match ups in the country and gives players from all over the state of Florida the opportunity to compete in front of scouts, fans and media in what is sure to be a high spirited arena. Event Director, Tuck Taylor said, "We look forward to seeing the passionate fans and die-hard competition and expect some heated match-ups this year. The SIAA and FHASS players, as well as the fans from both conferences deserve this”. Several high school basketball coaches and beat writers have called the All-Star game a “can’t miss”, as several of the nation's top players reside right here in Florida. In the past, the match up has been discussed, but did not materialize for one reason or another. Not only are the marquee players featured, but coaches and scouts will be scoping out the unsigned talent of potential additions for those colleges seeking last minute stars. "BEAST Athletics is proud to promote and support this match up because of the unparalleled opportunities it provides for young athletes from communities large and small," added Taylor, BEAST Athletics founder and President.
