So Jayden was playing in the NBL in Austraila for a few games before transferring?
Can anyone explain how that works...I know he really didn't play much but after watching highlight reels of that league It looks to me like a pretty competitive league with large grown men.Comment

Jayden was playing pretty regularly as a "development player" with the Sydney Kings but the Kings made a coaching change and Jayden's playing time fell way off.
Jayden & his family wanted to get him into NCAA/college so he jumped at the chance to take the Bradley offer -
Likely the Bradley offer came with a little info as to where his future classmates are playing and - BINGO - next thing you know, Jayden is finishing high school at Arlington Country Day and getting an enormously better experience on the court.
Jayden was never paid so he remains 100% amateur status and is just like Callum, DLO, and Luuk in that regard.
Arlington Country Day does not play in FHSAA, instead they play a top caliber prep schedule - so there's no issues with Jayden being instantly eligible for ACD.
The fact that he IS playing right away with them and producing very well (as that article says) really proves he is very talented and can play at a very high "prep-school" level. Jayden has not signed a LOI yet and can do so in the spring. I suspect his commitment to BU is very strong because of BU's presence recruiting Australia.Comment

A lot of professional leagues have a category for amateurs that allow them to be part of the team, train, and play in games, and retain their amateur status by not paying them. The NCAA allows those kids to be eligible at US colleges.Comment

Jayden stepped into a tremendous opportunity when he transferred to Arlington Country Day..
no sooner does he get there and their starting point guard and star player - Luguentz Dort - breaks his arm and so Jayden becomes the starting point guard - and helps them win their big game!

To give you an idea of the level of talent - the MVC, Azubukie in the blue shirt, is a 5-STAR Kansas commit,
Andres Feliz (far left) scored 28 to beat ACD and is going to American Conference USF, Loren Christian Jackson is a former BU recruit going to Long Beach State,
and Richardson Maitre (far right) is a Bradley recruit.
