I am inclined to think the IHSA has the correct score, but don't know.

Very entertaining game. Two well coached teams. Metamora struggled most of the night with Manuals quickness. Very impressed with # 23 for Metamora, might have been the best player on the floor tonight. Good luck Friday Rams hope you can pull it off and get to DeKalb next Tues.

One of the worst refereed games I've seen. Many missed calls including the ref running over the Metamora coach who was clearly standing in the box when the ref ran out of bounds and then T'd him up for being on the floor. It was like one make up call after another. Manuel was the superior team but Metamora has a couple nice players as well. DW & NK are the real deal.

Metamora's Dallas Morgan had a good game, 22 pts & Kennell 7
For Manual Da'Monte Williams 19 pts, AJ Youngman (whose dad used to be Metamora's head coach) 17 pts.

Many missed calls including the ref running over the Metamora coach who was clearly standing in the box when the ref ran out of bounds and then T'd him up for being on the floor. It was like one make up call after another. Manuel was the superior team but Metamora has a couple nice players as well. DW & NK are the real deal.

This. I was a bit stunned that happened, and couldn't believe they then called a technical. If anything the ref should have ejected himself lol.

It was too bad Kennel was in foul trouble the entire game, Manuel appeared to be the better team tho. I've enjoyed watching Morgan play, is he committed anywhere? Because he looks like he will have a promising future. Domonte Williams definitely looks like a high level player, Illinois should be happy with him as he matures. He already has the body. Rooting for Manuel to go all the way now.

This is what I was talking about yesterday in another thread. I saw the same thing. The Ref was way off base on that call..That is why I would never make it as a coach. I would have gone completely beserk on that Ref. He was clearly wrong but gets away with it. The other refs stood around and said nothing. At the very least he should be banned from referring until he learns the rules.

I will only comment on the play where Grieves was knocked down Chico. I was sitting directly across the floor from the Metamora bench and I could not tell if Grieves was on the floor or not. If video shows he was in his box and not on the floor than shame on the official. The floor inbounds is his and the sideline inside the box is the coaches. Video doesn't lie and I'm sure the official and Danny know who was in the right. Doesn't change anything but whoever was wrong I hope learns something. That play hurt Metamora at the time but didn't cost them the game. The best team won last night and I had no dog in the fight just telling it like it is.

sometimes refs do the weirdest things...
In the tourney game yesterday where Utah State was down one possession to San Diego State with a few ticks left but certainly had a chance to win the game - the Utah State player gently tapped the San Diego State kid to draw the foul - as fully expected - and the contact was so gentle that even the replay could barely see it...
But noooo.....the ref calls an intentional FLAGRANT foul and sends the SDSU guy to the FT line then they get the ball back out of bounds - essentially sealing the victory for SDSU.

very interesting - of the TWELVE players on 3A All State 1st & 2nd Teams - EIGHT are from downstate and
ELEVEN are from WELL outside of Chicago.
The only one from Chicago - Charlie Moore, Morgan Park!!

In 4A All State 1st & 2nd Teams..
SIX of ten are from outside Chicago!!

In 1A & 2A, 1st & 2nd Teams only 3 of 20 are from Chicago...

Overall 1-4A, 1st & 2nd Teams - of the 42 kids named -
only EIGHT are from Chicago, a few more from "collar counties, but the bulk are from the flyover counties!
How about that....
