ISU trails TCU 44-31 with about 12 minutes left - Akoon-Purcell just 2-9, 4 pts - if they lose they will be 2-4 despite all those accolades
Drake leads Pepperdine 56-44 with 9 minutes left

Saturday's opponent Ole Miss- just beat Georgia State 68-59 - Ole Miss' Stefan Moody 21 pts

WIU wins again to go 6-0, Garret Covington 24 pts

Not MVC but I have to say many of these games at the Maui Jim Maui Invitational have been really entertaining...
this just completed game between Indiana & UNLV was a great game with an ending you just couldn't have invented...

Numerous last minute or so, bizarre plays and weird mistakes and UNLV wins.
IU goes home with 2 losses and will now drop completely out of the rankings.

now just a little over 7 minutes left- ISU down 51-36.
..wonder if we'll be able to score 36 on these guys when we play them... we don't have as many Preseason All Conference picks as ISU does

BTW- TCU's RPI is 246 (per Warren Nolan) so if ISU loses, their 178 RPI is gonna drop a bunch-- possibly below Bradley's 190 RPI - who'da thunk it?

      Drake beats Pepperdine 69-53
