Thankfully for the teams in the MVC - this has been a remarkably injury-free first 10-days of the season...
The only a few injuries of note that I can find involving MVC teams are...
-Wichita's Fred Van Vleet played only 3 minutes in their opener against Charleston Southern before re-injuring the leg then was on the mend and played 30 minutes in their close loss to Tulsa a week ago but re-injured it again and hasn't played since.
...He's said to have an aggravation of a left hamstring injury...although at one point they threw out an "ankle injury" as well.
This article seems to suggest he may be out a while.
This injury to Fred Van Vleet happened almost a month ago even before the season started and there was discussion that maybe he should sit out their first game vs. Charleston Southern - but he played and re-injured himself and did again against Tulsa but played anyway (LINK)- so maybe now if he has to miss several more games, although it's always easier with hindsight - they might have made bad decisions about playing him when injured.
-Bradley's Antoine Pittman, a freshman sub who gets good minutes when healthy (18 min per game), missed two games with ankle sprain, but now seems recovered after sitting out and played well yesterday.
-Missouri State has Tyler McCullough still out with severe shoulder injury, not expected back for at least a month - likely longer - LINK
-although not an MVC team injury- the high profile injury to UNC's star Marcus Paige may have played a factor in UNI's upset of the #1 team!
-Indiana State has both TJ Bell & Bronson Kessinger out for the season with injuries - previously reported
BTW- the only injury for any team on our upcoming schedule is UT-Arlington's Mairega Clarke, who has a concussion and has yet to play - but
maybe they won't need him - UT-Arlington just beat Ohio State 73-68 in OHIO!!
