I hate to be a Debbie downer but that was pretty bad . Defense was the only area that had a glimmer of hope and some of that left a lot to be desired. Rest of the game pretty much stunk. Best part of the game was hearing Coach Buesch on the air with Dave. Haven't seen him at to many BU games since we canned Jimmy.

      Game story from BradleyBraves.com
PEORIA, IL - Donte Thomas turned in his second straight double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds, but Bradley could not overcome a cold shooting night, falling to New Orleans, 64-51, Wednesday.

      Box score-

The most noticeable numbers that made the difference are the shooting stats. Teams just won't beat anyone shooting 31.5% (17-54) at home, or shooting 11% (2-1 from three. Even the free throw shooting was bad- 15-28 (53.6%).
Donte Thomas had another double-double with 11 points & 10 rebounds. Bell played well in stretches, but needed 10 shots to get 10 points, and DLO had 9 points, but was just 2-8 from the floor.
Attendance was 5,379, which was better considering the students were gone (only a couple students were at the game) and with the holiday limiting attendance numbers. We'll see better ticket sales later in the season.

I also talked a bit with Coach Buescher, and he really likes Coach Wardle's style and believes he'll be successful in time. I think most of us agree with that.

I heard Coach Buescher say that on the post game show and I do think we all agree with that. It is definitely a work in progress and will take some time. I guess last night was just a disappointment considering it was a game we could have and should have won. Don't see many wins on our schedule this year but the best thing about Freshmen is next year they become Sophomores.

Don't see why so many think the Braves should beat teams, even like New Orleans. Sure we have practically a whole team of first year players, but they are not like the ones that go to Duke or Kentucky. Our guys need a chance to mature and I'm sure they will but it will take time.
What part of illegal don't you understand?

I was disappointed to see how many fans left at about the 3 minute mark. I know the game was out of hand, but this team is exciting and fun to watch. We should stay until the buzzer to support this team.

I think that had a little to do with the 1 PM start time and the Thanksgiving weekend. I know a lot of people who had Saturday night plans with family.
We almost never see that with Bradley fans.

Right. I didn't even think of that.
