Loyola beat Toledo 69-62.
Toledo started strong and lead by as many as 18 points in the first half, and held a 39-24 halftime lead. But in the final 10 minutes of the 2nd half, Loyola got hot and pulled ahead to stay. Milton Doyle had a nice game- 26 points on only 9 shot attempts. He was 8-9 from the field, 6-6 from three, though he did have 9 turnovers. -

Dang... I would think in the throat of a game with a team that has been good and is good, the fans would be loud and strong on every possession, every dribble, every pass, every second.
Just wasn't there. imo

As someone who was there, the crowd was loud...yes a crescendo on missed UNC shots and made UNI buckets, but the crowd was into it for the majority of the game...standing the last 12 minutes for the most part. It was a great atmosphere and was fun to see everyone into it. There were a couple hundred UNC fans there too, which made it a little bit of a nice back and forth. So, I don't know if the audio just wasn't picking it up, but the crowd was pretty strong. I'd just like to see that same crowd for Bradley on Dec.30th. I believe that was a game that was a part of the UNC 3 pack.

Even if there's no other quality MVC wins- then this one victory over a #1 ranked team has to qualify 2015-16 as a pretty successful year for the MVC
Good job by Ben Jacobson and his crew..
once again- something that Bradley fans have been stupefied for several years about...this game shows the value of having good 3-pt shooters..
Just about every Braves fan has been calling for our guys to go out and use some of our scholarships on shooters instead of completely unproductive, flat-footed, single-digit scoring juco big men, and transfers who had completely flopped elsewhere then had to sit out a full year here before flopping again.
It doesn't take a genius to see which MVC teams are at the bottom of the 3-pt shooting every year (Bradley, Missouri State) and who's at the top (UNI, Wichita).

It always amuses me how ignorant pollsters must be... This week's rankings demonstrate how they were much more impressed with an unranked (and not receiving votes in week 2) George Washington win over #6 Virginia than an unranked (and not receiving votes in week 2) UNI win over #1 North Carolina.
Week 3 polls have George Washington receiving more votes than UNI in BOTH polls.
Pathetic.

I knew that Cpac, but so yes - it causes a mental traffic jam for pollsters.
But can't any of them do a little investigative work and think... well maybe Colorado St isn't too bad? They WERE an NIT team last year. They finished 27-7 last year and 3rd in the MWC. As for George Washington, they had beaten Lafayette and South Florida. Hmmmm... Lafayette a 16 seed in last season's NCAA tourney that lost by 41 to Villanova. South Florida manages 9 wins overall and 3 in-conference last year. Yea... I'm impressed.
The pollsters are just one or maybe 2 dimensional.
