that isn't unusual as I have heard the sane from other fans...and the turnout at the Tradition banquet, Itoo, etc...are indicative that others have a very high degree of excitement for this season

But those are all season ticket holders - while the ones we've lost may be lost forever..

I know, but what I was saying is I would hope you were excited and pumped up just 1 decade ago. Remember the Braves beating Kansas and Pittsburg?
What part of illegal don't you understand?

Marial Shayok was a pretty highly rated kid during his recruitment - many sites ranking him Top 100 and 4-Star - and he landed at Virginia after decommitting from Marquette.
And he's still just a rising junior, so he might yet develop more....but there's also a chance he's gonna get "recruited over"....

but we also kinda see that like a lot of the foreign prep kids - they get badly overrated because they are older and naturally gifted with size & athleticism so when playing on the prep or AAU circuit, they impress, but so many end up failing to develop once in college (a la Saihou Jassey and so many of the La Lumiere & Boys to Men kids)

Anyway - as many may have seen during the NCAA games, he is still with Virginia but his playing time has greatly diminished... His numbers aren't bad but he still is kinda of a guy without a position. Certainly NOT a low post player or a point guard - he's kinda stuck as a wing option on a team loaded with lots of those players, and so as time goes on he's playing less.
In the final game against Syracuse, he played just 6 minutes and kinda looked lost.
He was a starter early on, then lost his starting spot and playing time even shrunk at times to single digit minutes.
If he ever ends up being a transfer or especially a grad transfer - he'd be a very good mid-major guy.
