In a game that was played Saturday afternoon, Grambling State beat Mid-Atlantic Christian University by 59 points 85-26!
Note that Grambling is possibly the worst Division I program in the history of Division I.
They were 0-27 last year against D1, and they finished with the 351st ranked RPI out of 351 teams, and they weren't even close to the 350th team.
To prove it was no fluke, they were 4-23 against D1 and 350th in RPI out of 351 in 2014, 0-28 with an RPI 347th out of 347 in 2013, 4-24 with RPI of 341 out of 344 in 2012.
A couple things- Mid-Atlantic Christian University is located in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. They are not NCAA, but rather USCAA (United States Collegiate Athletic Association- formerly called the National Little College Association), an association of 81 very small, low level colleges that few people have ever heard of.
But the game is being played in MACU's gym in Elizabeth City, NC. What? How bad do you have to be to play a road game at Mid-Atlantic Christian University?
And yet, Grambling is annihilating MACU. How bad must MACU be?
This game was obviously scheduled for one single reason. Grambling was so desperate to record a win, that they were even willing to play a road game at this lowly, non-NCAA school just to get a win, and avoid another winless season! Embarrassing.
