In addition to the NCAA, NIT, CBI, and CIT, there is now a new postseason tournament this season. It will be a 16 team, single elimination format, and all games will be played in the Cox Pavilion (a 2500 seat arena adjacent to the Thomas and Mack Arena) on the campus of UNLV.
The Vegas 16-
Just how bad will the teams start to be in some of these post-season tournaments? We're going to have so many, we'll have 10 win teams playing in tournament championships!

I've got a theory that if you give 100 percent all of the time, somehow things will work out in the end.
Teams might like the chance to travel to Las Vegas, but I wonder where the money will come from. The CBI and CIT are able to make money by charging teams a "buy in" fee, and an especially high fee to host games. Plus they make a little more from TV. So far, this Las Vegas tournament doesn't have a TV deal (though there are enough sports channels, they will get one), they'll spend a lot of money transporting and housing 16 teams in Last vegas, and have to pay to rent the UNLV facility and won't make money from the "buy in" by the home teams. I am not convinced they can make it work financially.
