I suggest everyone watch those highlights...
pretty impressive - the kid could be their conference player of the year in the next couple years

It's too bad he did not stick around. I really thought with his athleticism that he could have been a major contributor for us.

He's definitely one that got away but that's alright. I really like the direction the program is heading in!

              Scottie James today - 19 pts & 15 rebounds
He took only 6 shots and even fouled out yet essentially carried his team - unfortunately they lost in 3OT

                Scottie's 19 point, 15 rebound game today is his 3rd straight double-double!

Scottie James had another nice game today- 15 pts, 12 rebs - raising his season averages to almost 13 ppg/9 rpg...and he's moved into the starting lineup regularly now..

Did Scottie James leave, in your opinion, on his own accord or was he nudged? There were do many departures then.

Every player who has left under Coach Wardle, except for Jojo, left voluntarily, after they were counselled at the end of the year that their role may not increase. Playing time is what all players want, and that was the main reason for leaving.

Scottie is doing well and that extra year waiting to play at Liberty really helped him...

currently he is 16th in SCORIING in the CONFERENCE (BIG SOUTH) (altho that doesn't include today's stats so he might move up a notch)
and he is 2nd in REBOUNDING, 12th in FT PCT., 13th in BLOCKED SHOTS, and pretty much 1st or 2nd on his team in every stat except 3-pt shooting.
And he only averages 24 minutes per game - way less than the leaders on his team and in the league.

I thought Scottie James was going to be a good player. I was sorry to see him go.

This is going back quite aways but I saw a name in the paper I had forgotten about, Terry Laaker. Never flashy but more of a blue collar worker. I believe he came from Quincy. Blast from the past!!

Yup, a Joe Stowell player...altho I believe he overlapped the early Dick Versace era also
btw- Joe Stowell's birthday is Christmas eve, 91 y/o
