ISU beats Southern Indiana but it was close
88-81 .. as ISU needed to play their starters right to the end -

    For ISU
    Akoon-Purcell 25
    Paris Lee 14
ISU ended up shooting only 4-20 (20%) from the arc and got to the FT line 27 times
    Both teams had 20+ turnovers
Deontae Hawkins was not dressed - likely the discipline for screwing up in Europe - but this is all he gets...one exhibition game.
..but Brewer who got a DUI over the summer played - so weird...

For Southern Indiana Bobo Drummond ended with 14 pts, Edwards had 21
Attendance was announced as 4022 but I seriously doubt it was much more than half of that - judge for yourself
MBB: Southern Indiana at Illinois State Photo Gallery

The Illini ended up winning 104-69
over the final 12:47, Illini outscored UIS 39-14
Illini had five in double figures...Illini got to the FT line 38 times!
    Coleman-Lands 20, Jordan & Thorne 16, Lewis 13, Hill 10

      one piece of bad news...
one of their returning starters who is projected as a starter at the PG position, Duane Gibson, has reinjured his knee and is on crutches.
He had surgery in July and the projected return was October - although that sounded pretty optimistic - and now he's reinjured so I am sure they'll be a little bit more cautious this time around.

Hard to know how much it will affect them as their other guards - DJ Balentine, Mislav Brzoja, Blake Simmons, Jaylon Brown, Ryan Taylor, Adam Wing and Harris Brown give them a pretty deep backcourt

btw- Coach Molinari was in Peoria - business & personal - and had nothing but the highest praise and good words for Brian Wardle and all that's happening at Bradley.
He's a great guy and wishes to see Bradley do well...
