I agree wholeheartedly - had a couple kids with me and the doors open at 5pm for folks who want to come to the main lobby with kids - they had the balloon man, free posters & stuff, the bouncy-house...and the kids had a great time while I chatted with Big Mike & a few other fans...

Seemed everyone was upbeat and the team rewarded the fans with a good exhibition showing.

      Check this...
the attendance last night was announced at 5,825 for an incredibly obscure DIII exhibition opponent - that's UP 500 TO 1,500 over the final few non-conference games last year - and this was an EXHIBITION!!! (I know the seats weren't all full but the tickets WERE SOLD!)

Compare to 2011 the very first exhibition contest at Carver (drew 6797 for Wooster) - was DOWN TREMENDOUSLY from the last few non-conference games the year before (7,700-9,000)
..so obviously this time around something's being done right and done better...

The average home attendance during the prior decade was around 9,000 but plummeted to the low 5,000's at the end of last year...
Now we see it's already rebounded to near 6,000 and all we've played is a DIII exhibition opponent - let's hope
      these numbers continue to surge.
