Here's the comment about shooting that was previously posted in another thread..

I believe both Callum Barker and Ronnie Suggs were a perfect 1-for-1 from the 3-pt arc........
Both Joel Okafor & Scottie James airballed their first 3-pt attempts but it was nice to get those out of the way and then do better afterwards.
Both ended up have fine outings in the scrimmage.

      Just a small factoid...
the Australian 3-point distance is the standard FIBA 6.75 meters (22.1 feet) - that's a full foot plus 4 inches deeper than the 21 ft- 9 in NCAA distance.
and if Callum feels comfortable shooting from the arc then it's because he has had experience
It sure wouldn't take a lot to become the best 3-pt shooter we've had in FIVE YEARS!! Nobody since Andrew Warren has been better than sub-average, and our team 3-pt shooting percentage for the last four years is miserable - 671/2155 = 31%

One more thought- here's something interesting..
the guys Geno thought WOULD be our best 3-pt shooters WERE NOT-
the guys Geno never knew could shoot 3-pointers WERE our best shooters

The guys that were BROUGHT IN HERE the last four years who were supposed to be good 3-point shooters were...
Stefan Zecevic (hit 0% in his career here),
Omari Grier (hit 32% in his career),
      Jalen Crawford (hit 31.7%),
      Tramique Sutherland (31%),
      Ka'Darryl Bell (33%),
      Josh Cunningham (23.5%), and
Warren Jones (hit only 26% during MVC play)

the guys in the cupboard that were left here & fell into Geno's lap:
Will Egolf (hit 35.6% in the year he played for Geno),
      Lemon (32.1%),
      Taylor Brown (33%),
DSE (31%), all among our better shooters - though still not good

then the guys who were brought and were not thought to be 3-pt guys:
      .. Barnes (34%),
Pickett (46% his junior season) and then
Nate Wells - who never got much of a chance ...not great but won a game or two with his 3-pointers
