Drake basketball tipoff breakfast with Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
Drake basketball tipoff breakfast with Head Coach Ray Giacoletti
If anyone is interested, this morning was the Drake basketball tipoff breakfast for fans.
Here is an archived version of Head Coach Ray Giacoletti's introductory statements-
Wichita just held their Shocker Madness
They had a 20-minute intrasquad scrimmage with running clock - final score was a disappointingly low 19-12
..only a couple players hit more than one shot, and overall shooting of both squads was just 30%.
WICHITA, Kan. – Both the Wichita State men's and women's basketball teams saluted championships, Thursday night at Shocker Madness inside Charles Koch Arena, before turning their focus toward the upcoming 2015-16 season.
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Evansville Athletics Department ushered in the 2015-16 basketball season with Hoopfest, sponsored by Heritage Federal Credit Union.
...they also had an intrasquad scrimmage with a low score...19-18
their local media did a great job of coverage-
DJ Ballentine had eight in the scrimmage with Jaylon Brown & Ryan Taylor (a grad transfer from Ohio) each scoring six.
High scoring freshman guard Harris Brown sat out with what appears to be a fairly severe ankle injury he suffered in practice earlier this week.
A crowd of 2,922 cheered on the 2015-16 Illinois State men's and women's basketball teams for the first time this season at Friday night's Hoopfest on Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena.
Illini had their scrimmage - it was streamed and one of my Illini friends said a lot of the best Illini guys were either out with injury or looked pretty rusty
