  • BU announces Brian Wardle scheduled press conference Friday, Oct. 23

Bradley has announced that Head Coach Brian Wardle has scheduled a press conference for Friday, Oct. 23-

Here is the text of the Bradley announcement-

    Re: Bradley Basketball Press Conference

Please be advised. Bradley Men's Basketball Head Coach Brian Wardle will make a special announcement in a public press conference setting Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. The press conference is scheduled to begin at noon Friday and will be held on Olin Quad in the center of the Bradley University campus. In the event of inclement weather, the press conference will ne moved indoors to the Michel Student Center.

Because of the way the announcement was made, and the format for the press conference (on the open quad of the BU campus), I have to believe this is some good news. As of now, we do not know what it involves.

Will Egolf and Sam Singh have been granted 7th years?

actually I think it will involve news of new promotions that will appeal to a whole new generation of fans especially those from out of town

More evidence this "special announcement" involves some sort of "student experience" that will be created for men's basketball-

Coach Wardle, speaking in the Michel Student Center is announcing a new VIP Section for students called The Red Zone. He says there is no other college in the country with a similar concept.

Great - hope a lot of students come & take advantage - in fact I kinda wish I was a student again!!
..but I wonder if a student brought a date or a guest who is not a student and who does not have a Bradley student ID?

We can hope this idea is successful, but we've thought past ideas would be successful, too, and they weren't. Winning is an important part, but even back when Bradley had winning teams, and won the majority of home games, the student attendance was never great unless the games were on TV

                      also in the PJS article...
"Coach Brian Wardle just returned from a recruiting trip to Texas, where he also took in a University of Texas practice and scrimmage.
???(Coach) Shaka Smart is a good friend,??? he said. ???You don??™t get many opportunities to see other schools work out.
I can definitely take some things away.???

Not quite sure what it means but there's another veiled announcement of something big coming...

Josiah Williams is the DJ that does a great job at the BU games and helps get more students involved...

He just tweeted something regarding BU men's basketball...
"Without giving too much information away,
something big is coming! ... Go Braves!"

(given the other references, I think this has something to do with music...)
