His most recent visit was RMU...

We knew the coaches wanted to increase the athleticism on the team, and Chudier Bile is another kid with great athleticism. He graduated from Denver South High School 2 years ago.
He played 2 seasons at Otero Junior College in La Junta, Colorado, averaging 8.3ppg & 5.8 rpg as a freshman, and 12.4 ppg & 5.9 rpg as a sophomore. He doesn't take a lot of three pointers, averaging about 2 attempts and 36% from three over his 2 year career.
          Otero was 29-5 this season.

          Videos (he is #4)-

Mid season highlights. Chudier Bile. Sophomore. Denver, CO. (Denver South) 6'6 200 Pounds. Wing/Forward.

Re: Chudier Bile..... Do We really need or want to spend a schollie on a J.C.
player who in the 6 or so games shown in his profile show him to be a non-starter reserve averaging 12.4 PPG and 5.9 RPG. His size looks like a small forward. Shooting stats are OK but he isn't much of a scorer. This looks like a waste of time and valuable recruiting $$. On the other hand, maybe there is something about him that doesn't show on his profile. What other schools are recruiting him?

t....If the coaches judge that he is the best available, then our recruiting may be in trouble. We shouldn't waste a scholie if he cannot help us right away or if he is destined to be a bench player....We have had enough of those. We must have big, tough, athletic front line guys. How do you think this guy would stack up against D. Thomas?

Wiz, I will agree I think best case scenario is that we get a starter to replace DT, but at the same time depth is important too. So if the staff thinks he is the best option to contribute off of the bench I am good with that too.

                        • while our three guys are on visit - a couple others have committed elsewhere (McCauley to DII, Bandoumel to juco, Strawbridge to UMKC & a few others) so the list thins a bit

                          • I can see Wiz's point. We have a JC player that was signed late and mostly sat deep on the bench this year. He was used late in the season as a defensive player. However, next year we would have both Pittman and DLO as defensive guards. Maybe the staff sees areas where he can help our team next year.

I don't believe this is being critical of the player just stating a fact. Yes, I realize most teams have a couple of players that do not see the floor much.

                            • no, but so many people wanted and even called for us to land a juco, that each of the past couple cycles, Coach Wardle did his best to land the best available - gotta realize, some of the big money donors expect to be heard when they call...

so we get Jojo & Lundy....and those same people are still unhappy...
staff just can't please everybody even when they try

I think in some sense what drives this is that Jim Les did such a great- yet unappreciated job of recruiting junior colleges...
He had connections to jucos in Kansas & Texas with Coach Brooks, he had California connections that really paid off with Boogie & Zach, and he had other local and midwest connections thru his & Buesch's friendships. Maybe some people think recruiting top notch juco kids is like easily plucking ripe apples, but that's a great compliment to Jim Les who did do such a good job. Brian Wardle has several times said he prefers to build the team with 4-year guys, so the very fact that he dipped into the juco market shows he's willing to try to please the fanbase but again, it's a no win venture.

                              • No. It is about landing recruits who can play and help the team. Jojo and Lundy did not. And even the coaches now seem to be doing exactly what some fans wanted, looking at juco kids, since this late, there are not going to be many high school kids who will be any help immediately.
Let's hope for some commitments from kids who can play more than 5 minutes a game and put up more than 0.8 ppg. We are going to need more if the team is to continue #TheMovement.
