Loyola gets commitment from 3-star 2016 SG

Loyola got a 2016 commitment tonight from Cameron Satterwhite, a 6'4" shooting guard from Gilbert Christian HS in Gilbert, Arizona. He is rated as a 3-star recruit and he was once committed to University of Colorado.
However, in late July, he suffered a fractured femur and torn ACL while dunking in a summer showcase event in Las Vegas.
After the injury, Colorado wanted Satterwhite to reclassify as a 2017 recruit and do a 5th year at a prep school. He chose to de-commit instead.

Satterwaite has said he is not planning on playing at all this entire season, 2015-16 and will dedicate to being recovered and healthy by fall of 2016- but Loyola is taking a risk as his injury is reported to be complicated - as there is a complex fracture involving the knee as well as serious cartilage injury and torn ACL.
Satterwhite had to spend the first 3 months after the injury just healing from the fractures - then undewent knee ligament repair yesterday - LINK

There's no way to know but the combination of other injured structures in the knee might make it a longer recovery period...
When Shaun Livingston suffered his knee injury that was more severe in its complexity and severity - Shaun took nearly 3 years to recover sufficiently to play in more than a dozen games.
