  • Larry Eustachy

Did anyone who wrote to Larry hear back from him. I sent him an e-mail and received one back from the computer of Nate Loenser. He wanted me to send him my phone # "to discuss the matter." I sent him another e-mail asking if this was a joke because it came from the computer of Nate Loenser. I got a reply from him saying, "he was sorry for the confusion he used Nates computer and Nate was his assistant." I have 2 questions. 1.) Is Nate his Assistant and would any of you send him your phone #. I'll wait for your replies. Thanks,Wiley

I would call the SID and mention receiving an email. You could try and set up an appointment with them and give them your phone #. I'm sure the SID and AD would consult and determine if this would be necessary.

The guy has been honest during this whole period, and I think he would be quite cordial and candid over the phone as long as you didn't make it personal.

I would ask "what are your intentions"......KK has addressed this with their AD. No harm no foul. Its now up to them as how they choose to deal with it....

Actually, I just got an e mail as well and here is the exact text of it:

          >>>>>
"I was wondering if I could get a home phone number to discuss this email
with you. I'm sorry it has taken awhile to get back with you.

          Larry Eustachy
          "
          >>>>>>>>>>>>>

I am certain this is not from a fake source, as I used an e mail account that's a pretty obscure one that nobody even knows I have, and this e mail came from the e mail account of
          " Nate.Loenser@usm.edu"

Now if this is actually from Mr. Larry Eustachy himself, then I sure as heck am not going to send the guy my HOME phone number, would you?
I guess I'd be a little worried about the guy calling me and maybe by chance catching one of my kids/wife/employees instead, depending on what phone # I gave the guy.

But here is the response I sent:

I replied by saying that he can reach me through my exchange, and then I gave him the # of my answering service. That way, he will never know my number, and I can have any and all future calls from the guy, screened and deleted.

By the way, here is the exact text of the email I sent to Mr. Eustachy:

          "Mr. Eustachy,
I am very disappointed in the behavior you demonstrated at the basketball
game last week at Carver Arena in Peoria.
You are certainly welcome to act as you wish in private but with 10,000
fans, many of then youngsters, you should control your temper, your
          emotions, and your voice.
Many of your foul words and language were easily audible from where we sat
and throughout half the arena. Also, your berating of the fans sitting
behind you was shocking. Do you challenge fans to a fight everywhere you
          go?
This is the kind of behavior that the NBA is battling with, and now we
begin to see it in college basketball?
I am disappointed in what I saw, and although I wish your team and players
the best for the rest of the season, I cannot say the same to you.
I hope you realize that such behavior is counterproductive and will hurt
you and your team's performance in the long run.
Some of the words you called your own players wouldn't be allowed in most
          public places.
God bless your entire team, and there's no need to reply, I just wanted to
let you know what I felt.

          .....XXXXXXXXXXX & family,
season ticket holders at Bradley University."

It sounds to me like the guy is really wanting to apologize, and I'd give him the benefit of the doubt.
He didn't make it this far in life without having some good social skills.

              That's a great email T.

If I were you, I would have copied their A.D. as well.

I did copy it to their AD and assistant AD when I originally sent that
                message back on Dec. 27.

Allthough I do respect those that were put off by his profanity and don't feel its my place to interfer how they wish to deal with it.

Think about it T. Why would he call you back. He probably doesn't even remember the incident.

He did or the assistant did? I guess that's what you need to ask yourself.

Well, the e mail I got was posted verbatim above in this thread, and it was "signed" ...."Larry Eustachy"

Of course I don't have any proof of who sent it, but you can draw your own conclusions.
